In this era, many people are engaged in social networking sites which serve to be their tool to find new friends, new love ones and other reasons. If you are living in this time, you will be probably tagged as a geek if you don’t have any accounts on this websites: friendster, multiply, facebook etc. But the question is, is the quality of friendship online and in reality the same?
Now look closer… in social websites, people upload their best pictures and use the most beautiful words to describe themselves in their profile, on the other hand, in the real world, you can look at poeple without the touch of a photoshop. In friendster and multiply you can read blogs and discover what the person is feeling, in reality, the person you are talking to is more candid, no editing of words.
Bottom line? People pretend and raise their standards for the acceptance of others. Is that what you call online friendship? Educate me please, because the traditional friend I know doesn’t sort who’d invited him\her in his\her pending friend invites, he\she doesn’t give you testimonials but does know you better and lastly, a real friend doesn’t mind if you have a good profile and primary photo, cause he\she looks deeper. Now tell me, which friend is better, the virtual or the real?
