GUMDROPS, MILK AND CEREALS

When I was a child, I remember going to the grocery wherein I saw this pack of gumdrops that I want so much but it happened that my mom didn’t have sufficient budget to buy me one. Maybe rich kids back at that time cannot relate to what I’m talking about. But do you remember the feeling? It is the feeling wherein you want something so bad but you don’t have any means to get that obsession. Maybe this time that I have my own allowance, I can buy as many gumdrops that I would like to eat. But at that time, I really felt so horrible, what I only did is to lie in the floor, throw tantrums and shout. Maybe this time and at this age… that scene is very tantamount on not buying the hippest pants, not being updated to the latest gadgets, falling in love to someone who loves another person and a lot more.

Let’s face it, it is very depressing and can terribly hurt us. But what can we do? Allow me to look back once more. What did I do when my mom failed to buy me my most favorite gumdrop? Well, I cried a lot, stopped and smiled once again. Because when I looked into the grocery basket, I saw milk and cereals etc. On second thought, my mom did buy me something better than gumdrops. In short, I just accepted what I had and what I don’t have.

Like in life, we always focus on things that we don’t have in return we tend to ignore the things that does exist with us. It is not wrong to dream of something and wish to have it, but it is better to accept what you have and make the most out of it. After all, gumdrops only make your tooth ache. Just kidding … Life is beautiful, live it well. :)
